Purpose

Nursery & Landscape is a discipline of horticulture focused on landscape design; identifying, growing, and managing landscape plants; and understanding and using hardscape materials and related products. The Nursery & Landscape CDE is designed to create an interest in careers in the nursery and landscape industries through education and hands-on technical skills development.

What students do: Students rotate through three stations: plant, pest, and equipment identification; a general knowledge and problem-solving exam; and a team design activity based on the year's landscape theme. Teams have four members.
