Ag Issues Forum

Purpose

The Agricultural Issues Forum CDE has a team of students present a current agricultural issue to a public audience. Teams develop a written portfolio that shows their research and understanding of an issue relevant to their local community, then prepare an oral presentation that examines both sides of the issue. The event emphasizes professional ethics and standards.

What students do: Teams of three to seven students choose an agricultural issue, research both sides of it, and present at least five forums in their community. Before the event, the team submits a portfolio on the issue. At the event, the team gives a presentation of up to 15 minutes that examines both sides.

Portfolio Submission

Submit your team's Ag Issues CDE Portfolio via the following form no later than March 4, 2027.  Submissions after that date will not be accepted. Only portfolios submitted through the form below will be accepted.  You will receive an emailed receipt. If the same team submits multiple portfolios, the final submission will be graded. Teams must also be registered for the Ag Issues CDE via the CDE registration system by the CDE registration deadline, or the team will be disqualified.
