Environmental and Natural Resources

Purpose

The Environmental & Natural Resources CDE provides students with the basic knowledge and skills needed to pursue career opportunities in wildlife, ecosystems, soil, water, and waste management.

What students do: Each student takes a written exam and identifies Nebraska plant and animal species from tracks, pelts, scat, photos, and other identifiers. Teams of four complete a scenario activity on the year's theme, such as reading a soil survey, testing water quality, or judging habitat suitability.
