Purpose
The purpose of the Dairy Cattle Evaluation CDE is to provide a competitive event for agricultural education students that emphasizes skills in dairy cattle management and evaluation.
What students do: Each student places six classes of dairy cattle, gives three sets of oral reasons, and takes a management test that includes analyzing a dairy herd records chart. Teams of four act as consultants and present a solution to a dairy management problem to a panel of judges.
